Pixel pitch, brightness, processing, rigging loads. Turning a room and an audience into the right specification is our job. We advise on the format and explain it in plain language before you commit. The technical survey is part of the job, and it sits on the quote like every other line.

What we deliver in Basel

Basel runs on congresses, trade fairs and life sciences. Most of what we install here goes into a hall for four days, then comes out again. Some of it stays in a shop window for four years. We do both, with four formats and the software that runs them, from one supplier. Rent for a trade fair or install permanently: the same equipment, the same crew, the same software. Feasibility study, technical survey, transport, installation, content and teardown are all part of the service, and all costed up front.

Two cantons. Three countries.

Basel-Stadt is the smallest canton in Switzerland by area and the densest by population, and it holds just three municipalities: Basel, Riehen and Bettingen. Read the map the way business does and it is far larger than that. Basel-Landschaft adds eighty-six municipalities across five districts, and the working region runs over two borders, into Germany and into France.

Messe Basel, Messeplatz

The largest exhibition venue in Switzerland: five halls and 141,000 m2 of exhibition space, of which 83,000 m2 will carry a two-storey stand. Hall walls, hanging banners and full-height LED for stands that have to be read from the other end of the hall.
Congress Center Basel

The largest congress centre in the country by surface area, with twenty-five conference rooms and a plenary hall for up to 3,000. Keynote walls, foyer totems and breakout-room displays, on build slots that fall between two congresses.
The Event Hall, Herzog and de Meuron building

Around 3,300 m2 without a single pillar, plus 1,000 m2 of foyer, for up to 3,000 people or a banquet for 2,000. A shell that takes a full LED build without fighting the architecture.
Hall 4, the modular rooms

Eleven rooms on the ground floor, used alone or combined, for anything from 10 to 1,000 people. The format where one well-placed screen does more than a wall.

Window displays, transparent LED and in-store walls for retail, pop-ups and flagship launches, in a city centre where the shopfront is often listed.

The building and hospitality inspectorate

The Bau- und Gastgewerbeinspektorat runs the procedure for private plots. It sorts every project into one of three regimes: subject to permit, subject to notification, or free of both.

What is free

Film on the inside of the glass

Advertising film applied to the inside of a shop window needs no permit at all. Unlit company signs up to 0.50 m2 per business are permit-free in the numbered and public-interest zones, and notification-only in conservation zones.

Plan the procedure, not just the panels

A lit screen is neither an unlit sign nor a film behind glass. Expect a procedure, and start it early: on an outdoor installation the permit is the long pole, not the hardware.

How fast can you deliver in the Basel region?

For standard indoor formats we normally cover a request within a few days, subject to what is already out on other jobs. Large outdoor walls and custom builds need more lead time, mostly because of rigging and structure rather than the panels themselves. Tell us the date first and we will say straight away whether it is realistic.

What screen sizes can I get?

From a 3 m² indoor backdrop to walls of 30 m² and beyond. LED is modular, so the surface is built to your room rather than picked from a catalogue: we work back from viewing distance, ceiling height and the content you want to show, then propose a pitch (P3.9, P2.6 or finer) that stays sharp at the distance your audience actually stands.

Do you know the Basel venues, or do I have to brief you?

We deliver to Messe Basel, the Congress Center, the Event Hall and the Musical Theater, as well as hotels, showrooms and shopping streets across both Basel cantons. For every booking we contact the venue's technical office ourselves to confirm load limits, access times and build windows. That part is our job, not yours.

Have you worked in Basel before?

Yes. We supplied and installed the LED for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties stand at the Congress Center Basel, for an international medical congress: a fascia band across the stand front, a screen flush into the interior wall, and a portrait display. It was a rental, from delivery to teardown, handled by our own crew.

What happens if something fails during the event?

On single-day events our crew stays with you; on longer runs, on site cover is available on request. Outside that, one call is enough and a technician comes out. Spare panels and a spare processor travel with every rig, so a failed module is swapped without taking the wall down.

Can I rent a hologram instead of a screen?

Yes. HYPERVSN 3D units and HoloBox are available on the same daily rates, and they are often the better answer in a lobby or on a small stand where a wall would simply not fit. We can also produce the 3D content, since a hologram running stock footage is a waste of the format.

What does a rental actually cost?

It depends on the surface, the duration, the access and how much rigging the venue requires, which is why we quote a brief rather than publish a price list. Delivery, setup, crew and teardown are inside the figure. Send us the dates and the format and you get a firm number in writing.

Do you deliver outside the region, or abroad?

All 26 Swiss cantons, and across the border for Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, France and Italy. Transport is quoted inside the same figure, so a project in Liestal and a project in Weil am Rhein are read the same way on paper.

Can I buy rather than rent?

Yes, and many clients start with a rental precisely to test the format before investing. We sell and install permanent LED, LCD, OLED, transparent displays, totems and kiosks, all driven by our own DATAVSN software, with maintenance and support handled by the same team.
