Bern is about 35 km up the A12 from our base in Fribourg. The quote lists every line, from advice and transport to build, calibration, content and teardown, and we carry the responsibility from your first call to the last crate.

We install and calibrate
We work within the build times agreed with the venue, whether at BERNEXPO or the Kursaal. Panels are assembled, aligned and colour-matched on site, and your content plays end to end before the first visitors arrive.

On a one-day event, the crew stays to the end. For a fair over several days, on-site cover is available on request, or a technician comes out when needed. Teardown is ours.

50’000 m² of event space in eight halls and 25 rooms, plus 100’000 m² of outdoor ground. The large halls are up to 10 m high. Hall walls, hanging banners and stand LED.

The Festhalle, STAGE and CUBE
Opened in 2025 with more than 21’300 m²: the STAGE, 18 m high, takes up to 9’000 people standing, and the 1’305 m² CUBE already has a fixed LED wall of 26.8 × 5.4 m. Side screens, stage LED and extra displays where the house screens stop.

In Bern we fitted out a client with nine screens and twenty-eight tablets, all running on a content system we developed for them.
The shop window screens carry presence detection: the video changes when someone walks past. The tablets run the content system alone, without detection.
Permanent installation, not event rental. Same crew, same workshop, same people you would get for a rental.
What a shop window never shows: the frame built around the screen, the mounting rails, the cabling routed so nothing is visible from the street.
The window installations themselves stay with the client. This is the part we can show, and frankly it is the part that decides whether an installation lasts.

Can you deliver on my date in the canton of Bern?
That depends on the format and on how much of our equipment is out on other jobs. Indoor screens of standard size are the easiest to schedule; large outdoor walls and custom builds need more preparation for structure and rigging. Start with the date: we will tell you whether it is feasible.
What screen sizes can I get?
The range runs from about 3 m², a backdrop in a Kursaal meeting room, to 30 m² and beyond in BERNEXPO's large halls, plus trailers of 7 to 63 m² for open-air events. LED is modular, so the size follows the room and its ceiling height; viewing distance and content set the Pixel Pitch: P3.9 outdoors; P2.6, P1.8 or finer indoors, as in a shop window under the arcades.
Do you know the Bern venues, or do I have to brief you?
We deliver to BERNEXPO, the Festhalle with its STAGE and CUBE, the Kursaal and the federal quarter, as well as hotels, showrooms and the arcades across the canton. For each booking we clear load limits, access times and build windows with the venue's technical office ourselves, so you do not have to.
Do I need a permit for an outdoor screen in the city of Bern?
For an event on public ground, yes: the city's Veranstaltungsmanagement issues the permit and advises applying at least six weeks ahead. A permanent advertising screen needs a building permit; in the old town, a shop-window screen may need one too. The city's ordinance on commercial lighting caps brightness at 3’500 cd/m² by day and 300 cd/m² from dusk, requires transitions of at least four seconds, forbids flashing light and bans film sequences near public roads. Screens go dark from 22:00 to 06:00, from 00:30 in the UNESCO old town, unless operation or safety requires otherwise or an event is authorised to run later. Behind a shop window, the screen must stand at least 40 cm back from the glass.
What happens if something fails during the event?
Spare panels travel with each rig. If a module fails, it is replaced while the wall stays up. Our crew stays through single-day events; on longer fairs, on-site cover is available on request, or a technician comes out on your call.
Can I rent a hologram instead of a screen?
Yes. HYPERVSN 3D holograms and the 32-inch HoloBox are available for rental, for a lobby or a stand at BERNEXPO with no space for a wall. We can produce the 3D content too; a hologram showing stock footage misses the point of the format.
What does a rental actually cost?
Price follows the surface, the length of the event, the access and the rigging BERNEXPO or the Kursaal allows, which is why we quote each brief rather than publish a list. Transport from Fribourg, set-up, crew and teardown are inside the figure. Send the dates and the format; you get a firm number in writing.
Do you deliver outside the canton, or abroad?
Yes: all 26 Swiss cantons, plus Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Liechtenstein. Transport is inside the same figure, wherever the screen goes.
Can I buy rather than rent?
Yes. You can buy permanent LED, LCD, OLED or transparent displays, totems and kiosks for an office, a shop under the arcades or a venue; we install them, and the same team handles maintenance and support. As an option, our DATAVSN software can run the fixed LED screens, totems and open-frame displays.
